Being a huge music lover, I recently purchased a Sony PS-LX300USB turntable to play new and old vinyl records. Vinyl has a certain magical, romantic quality, and it sounds better than its digital counterpart, so it was well worth the investment. After purchasing the turntable, my stepdad dug out an old record from a band he used to like and whose members he was friends with back in the day: RIPROC BOP. The band never made it big and didn't survive past the 80's, and since there were no digital copies of the album, I decided to use my turntable (with ripping capabilities) to digitize the music. All that was required was installing the Sony Sound Forge software on my computer, plugging my turntable into my computer via the provided USB cable, playing the record, and dividing the recording into separate tracks. I then scanned and remastered the album cover art and imported everything into my iTunes library. In order to make this long forgotten music available to everyone, I created an unofficial website to house a download, and I'll be uploading to YouTube shortly.
